This Okanagan elopement editorial was inspired by all of those things. The vision was romantic and timeless, but still a little wild.

A Moody Okanagan Elopement

The inspiration came from the wild and romantic feeling of Wuthering Heights, we wanted the photos to feel intimate and nostalgic. With the landscape being a huge part of the vision. Natural textures and dramatic skies helped create the mood.

The Okanagan has so many beautiful landscapes. This mountaintop location was the perfect fit for this intimate elopement.

My approach to wedding photography is documentary-inspired, I want your photos to feel natural. I want them to capture how the day actually felt.

I also love adding a little direction when it comes to portraits. This creates those more editorial images without making things feel stiff or overly posed.

For this shoot, we embraced movement and the landscape, the wind, the dress, the wild grasses and the quiet moments.

All of these little details helped tell the story.
